- 8 ounces [227 g] sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup [115 g] butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] garlic powder
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] beer, at room temperature
- Into a mixing bowl, cream together sharp Cheddar cheese, softened butter and garlic powder until well blended.
- Slowly beat in beer, until smooth.
- Keep refrigerated.
- Leave mixture to stand at room temperature for 1 hour before serving.
