Peanut Butter Waffles

  • 1/3 cup [75 g] butter
  • 1/3 cup [80 mL] peanut butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 3/4 cups [440 g] cake flour
    or
    1 2/3 cups [410 mL] bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
  • 3 tablespoons [45 g] sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] milk
  • Preheat waffle iron.
  • Cream together butter and peanut butter add beaten eggs.
  • Sift together cake or bread flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  • Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk to first mixture, mixing until smooth.
  • Bake mixture, 1 teaspoon [5 mL] at a time into hot waffle iron, and serve.
