Sweet Golden Grated Potato German Pancake [Pfanne]

Comments: Excellent sprinkled with brown sugar, or coated with maple syrup.

  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 5 eggs
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons [35 to 43.75 g] flour
  • Salt
  • Cooking oil
  • Peel then finely grate potatoes before mixing in eggs, one at a time, then flour.
  • Salt and mix until well blended.
  • Heat a little oil into a large frypan, pour in grated potato mixture then lightly press mixture into a pancake.
  • Leave to brown until golden.
  • Turn pancake over; brown on other side before serving, cut into wedges.
