Buckwheat Pancakes

Comments: Taste better when using brown sugar rather than molasses.

  • 2 cups [500 mL] buckwheat flour
  • 5 teaspoons [25 mL] baking powder
  • 1 cup [140 g] all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
  • 2 1/2 cups [625 mL] milk
  • 1 cup [250 mL] water
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] brown sugar or molasses
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Mix and sift together buckwheat flour, baking powder, all-purpose flour and salt.
  • Add milk, water, brown sugar or molasses and beaten egg.
  • Thoroughly mix.
  • Cook immediately.
